The Trojmezí Museum in Jablunkov

The listed house No. 150 situated on the corner of Colonel Velebnovský Street and Mariánské Square in Jablunkov is one of the oldest brick buildings in this part of the former Principality of Teschen. Today you can find the exhibition Landscape and People.

The building with the familiar name of the Prince’s House is related to the fact that in the second half of the 16th century it became the property of the Piast princes of Těšín. In 2018, it was purchased from the town of Jablunkov by the Moravian-Silesian Region, the founder of the Museum of Těšín Region. Visitors to the easternmost town in the Czech Republic and the southernmost town in Silesia will have access to a permanent exhibition called Landscape and People in the summer of 2022. As the name suggests, it will present the centuries-old coexistence of nature and man in the peculiar easternmost region of the Czech Republic at the state borders with Poland and Slovakia, i.e. the tri-border.
