Flat D, 1980s and 1990s

Starting in the 1980s, the houses in the worker estate are increasingly being converted into second homes. Residents no longer use them as principal year-round places of residence, moving to proper town districts of Třinec.

The post-and-plank houses are now used only for relaxation, for weekend stays or holidays, and for gardening. Thus, the furnishings reflect the purpose. The flat layout remains unmodified: the building is divided into a hallway, kitchen, a small room with a bed or settee, and a universal living space where the family spent their days off.

The furnishings consist of old furniture or furniture items not fitting the owner’s home in town. There are also items complementing the feel of a weekend house with a garden.
